OPDC arranged the annual seminar and the Public Sector Excellence Award (Lert-Rat) Ceremony of 2018 on September 14th, 2018 at IMPACT
Forum, Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok. The seminar comprised of three topics,
‘Technology Change, Public Service in
Charge’ by Dr. Somkiat Tangkitvanich, President of Thailand Development
Research Institute (TDRI),
‘Trust and Security in Government Transactions by Mrs.
Surangkana Wayuparb, Executive Director and CEO of Electronic Transactions
Development Agency (Public Organization) and
‘What happens? When Innovations
Change the Service Pattern’ by Mr. Tana Pothikamjorn, Head
of Digital Banking, Siam Commercial Bank.
The afternoon session was the ceremony for the Public Sector Excellence Award (Lert-Rat) awarding by the Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam. In this regard, Mr. Pakorn Nilprapunt, Secretary-General of OPDC reported on the purpose of this event. Awards comprised of three types
1) Public Service
2) Quality Public Management
3) Participatory Public Administration.
There are 187 awarded organizations and 5 of them win the Public Sector Excellence Award this year, that are the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, Department of Disease control, the Comptroller General Department, Department of Livestock Development and Land Development Department.
